At Psychology Meets Real World, we are committed to creating thoughtful, respectful, and meaningful experiences that encourage reflection, learning, and personal growth.

The following policies are intended to provide clarity regarding participation, bookings, payments, expectations, and responsibilities associated with all Psychology Meets Real World offerings.

By booking, registering for, attending, or participating in any Psychology Meets Real World experience, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Booking & Payment

Payment is required at the time of registration or booking unless otherwise stated.

Registration or booking is considered confirmed only after payment has been received.

Psychology Meets Real World reserves the right to modify pricing, offerings, availability, or scheduling as needed.

Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refunds

To respect the time reserved for each participant, cancellations must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, session, or experience.

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable.

Participants may reschedule an appointment up to 48 hours before the scheduled session. Each appointment may be rescheduled a maximum of two (2) times. Additional rescheduling requests may require a new booking and payment.

Missed appointments or no-shows are non-refundable.

Psychology Meets Real World reserves the right to review exceptions on a case-by-case basis in the event of unforeseen emergencies or extenuating circumstances.

If Psychology Meets Real World must cancel, postpone, or reschedule an experience, participants may be offered the opportunity to transfer their registration to a future offering or receive a refund when appropriate.

Educational Disclaimer

Psychology Meets Real World provides educational, reflective, discussion-based, and personal development experiences intended to encourage self-awareness, insight, learning, and growth.

Psychology Meets Real World does not provide therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, psychological treatment, mental health treatment, crisis intervention, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or any other licensed professional service.

Information, discussions, activities, reflections, and materials provided through Psychology Meets Real World are intended for educational and informational purposes only.

Guided Reflection Sessions

Guided Reflection Sessions are designed to facilitate personal reflection, self-exploration, and meaningful conversation.

Participation in a Guided Reflection Session does not establish a therapist-client, psychologist-client, counselor-client, coach-client, physician-patient, or any other professional or clinical relationship between participants and Psychology Meets Real World.

Participants understand that Guided Reflection Sessions are not a substitute for therapy, counseling, psychological treatment, medical care, or other professional services.

Mental Health & Crisis Support

Psychology Meets Real World is not equipped to provide emergency mental health services or crisis intervention.

Individuals experiencing a mental health emergency, thoughts of self-harm, thoughts of harming others, suicidal ideation, or any situation requiring immediate assistance should contact 911, local emergency services, a licensed mental health professional, or an appropriate crisis support resource immediately.

Participant Responsibility

Participation in Psychology Meets Real World experiences is voluntary.

Participants are solely responsible for their own decisions, actions, interpretations, behaviors, and outcomes before, during, and after participation.

Participants acknowledge that they remain responsible for seeking professional support when needed and for making decisions regarding their personal, emotional, professional, academic, financial, relational, and physical well-being.

No Guarantee of Results

Every participant's experience is unique.

Psychology Meets Real World makes no guarantees, representations, or warranties regarding specific outcomes, results, achievements, personal growth, emotional change, behavioral change, professional advancement, relationship improvement, academic success, or any other outcome resulting from participation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Psychology Meets Real World, its owner, facilitators, representatives, contractors, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, emotional, personal, professional, academic, financial, or other damages arising from or related to participation in any Psychology Meets Real World offering, event, session, workshop, program, discussion, or experience.

Participation is undertaken voluntarily and at the participant's own discretion and responsibility.

Group Experiences & Community Standards

Psychology Meets Real World is committed to creating respectful, inclusive, and supportive environments for all participants.

Participants are expected to:

  • Engage respectfully with facilitators and fellow participants.

  • Refrain from harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or threatening behavior.

  • Respect differing perspectives and experiences.

  • Contribute to a positive and constructive environment.

Psychology Meets Real World reserves the right to remove participants without refund if behavior is disruptive, inappropriate, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise interferes with the experience of others.

Confidentiality & Privacy in Group Settings

Participants are encouraged to share only information they feel comfortable disclosing.

While Psychology Meets Real World promotes a culture of respect and confidentiality, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in group settings.

Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others and refrain from sharing personal information, stories, experiences, or discussions disclosed by fellow participants outside of the experience without permission.

Recordings, Media & Testimonials

Psychology Meets Real World may request permission to use participant testimonials, feedback, photographs, screenshots, recordings, written comments, or other content for educational, promotional, marketing, or business purposes.

Participation in photographs, recordings, testimonials, or promotional materials is entirely voluntary.

When applicable, consent preferences will be collected separately and respected in accordance with participant selections.

Intellectual Property

All Psychology Meets Real World materials, including but not limited to presentations, guides, worksheets, activities, exercises, frameworks, assessments, written content, graphics, logos, branding, videos, digital resources, and downloadable materials remain the intellectual property of Psychology Meets Real World unless otherwise stated.

Materials are provided for personal use only and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared, sold, modified, republished, taught, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission from Psychology Meets Real World.

Privacy

Psychology Meets Real World respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.

Information collected through registrations, bookings, inquiries, forms, surveys, communications, and participation will be used solely for providing services, communicating with participants, improving experiences, and operating the business.

Psychology Meets Real World does not sell personal information to third parties.

Information may be disclosed only when required by law or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of participants or Psychology Meets Real World.

Right to Refuse Participation

Psychology Meets Real World reserves the right to deny registration, refuse participation, remove participants, or discontinue participation when necessary to:

  • Protect participant safety.

  • Maintain a respectful environment.

  • Preserve the integrity and intended purpose of an experience.

  • Uphold community standards.

  • Comply with applicable laws or policies.
